Steps to prepare for the procedure:
1. Come at appointment time.
2. Check in at the front desk.
3. Come to clinic.
4. Know dosage of Coumadin (Warfarin).
5. Inform nurse of any change in medication.
6. Inform nurse of any illness experienced since last visit.
7. Follow instructions for follow-up.
Education about the procedure:
Continuing education is handled on a visit by visit basis.
Questions I may have:
1. Why do I need to have this procedure?
To keep blood at a therapeutic level to avoid complications of the process.
2. When and how will I find out about my results?
These results are given at the time of each visit. |
